NEVER STOP LEADING THE CHANGE. LAGO is leading the change at Design Week 2023: cooperation, concrete action and determination, for today and tomorrow.

LAGO is renewing its commitment to finding the balance between people, nature and technology at Design Week 2023. Presenting more than 60 new products and features, the leading design and furniture company is homing in even further on achieving its targeted sustainability goals.

For Design Week 2023, LAGO is launching its campaign “NEVER STOP LEADING THE CHANGE”. The invitation is in keeping with the direction the brand has taken towards its customers, colleagues and supply chain operators, as well as the entire LAGO community: a resolute approach to sustainability based on empathy and cooperation.

LAGO will be presenting a lot of new content and ideas at the Salone del Mobile, starting with the location of its stand, now in Pavilion 4 (Stand F08-E11). More than 26 new products and designs, and 20 plus restyles of some of its most iconic pieces will accompany the launch of its debut lighting collection – the first of its kind in the company’s history.

For LAGO, this year’s Salone del Mobile will be about spotlighting how the brand has matured, as it takes an increasingly global approach, with an even broader range of products for every area of the home. We’re also taking the opportunity to unveil some of the pieces featuring in the new collection catalogue coming out in May.” said Daniele Lago, CEO & Head of Design at LAGO S.p.A.

The sustainable principles accompanying the brand at the trade fair remain firmly in place for 2023. They translate into initiatives such as Good House, the reusable trade fair stand reducing CO2 emissions by 87%; technologies such as XGlass, now available in three new marble versions; and the recently announced LAGO Sustainability Circle.

“With the campaign ‘Never Stop Leading The Change’, our aim is to reinforce the sense of urgency in bringing about change and leading by example, taking charge of the issue of sustainability in multiple respects. The Salone del Mobile needs to serve as an opportunity for the whole furniture sector to show that this goal can, and must, be achieved." said Daniele Lago, CEO & Head of Design at LAGO S.p.A. "For some time now, LAGO has considered the challenges of our time among the cardinal points of its business approach, a real moral duty, as a community of people and as a company. We have turned this commitment into something tangible this year with the LAGO Sustainability Circle: a company hub for channelling our efforts and resources. Investments of almost three million euros have already been made and a quarter of all LAGO staff are involved, making this a real driver of change”.

Among the new content at the Salone del Mobile, LAGO is presenting:

LIGHTING DEBUT

LAGO is launching its debut lighting collection, carrying over a design vision curated through decades in business. In doing so, LAGO is sealing its standing and company DNA, recognised globally, establishing itself in a sector that is the new star in the galaxy of LAGO products. Five new statement pieces that work with LAGO’s best-selling designs help you create a harmonious look across your interiors.

MORE THAN 60 NEW PRODUCTS AND FEATURES

Some 26 new products and features, 20 plus restyles of iconic pieces and five new finishes: the LAGO collection presented at the Salone del Mobile speaks to an increasingly international market. The pieces exhibited at the Salone are just a preview of the new catalogue coming in May that will highlight the maturity LAGO has achieved in its designs, with an even higher standard of quality, sustainability and durability for its products. Behind each and every product is a vision of living and contract spaces designed to be timeless.

GOOD HOUSE, GOOD LIFE

The stand is even bigger this year, covering some 820 m2. For the second year running, LAGO’s new product innovations live inside Good House, a reusable stand created in collaboration with Henoto and Spinlife, a spin-off project from the University of Padua. The stand has been designed with the circular economy in mind and, as such, is fully recyclable. Thanks to its zero waste and drastically lighter and more compact build, it ensures lower greenhouse gas emissions into the atmosphere (e.g. CO2) by up to 87% compared to a traditional trade fair stand. According to data collected by Professor Manzardo from the University of Padua, if all trade fair stands worldwide were built using this approach, we could prevent up to 239,982 tonnes of CO2 equivalent being released in the atmosphere. This equates to the annual consumption of 192,293 average Italian families.

LAGO SUSTAINABILITY CIRCLE COMES TO LIFE

At the culmination of its journey, which has seen the company leading the way on issues of the utmost urgency today, on both a global and local scale, LAGO is presenting the LAGO Sustainability Circle: a business model accelerator of change, towards an ever more concrete form of sustainability. Following investments of almost three million euros in sustainability-related projects over the last three years, LAGO is continuing to strengthen its strategic efforts towards achieving the UN 2030 Agenda Sustainable Development Goals, actively involving a quarter of all staff. One of the next goals is to present the company’s first Sustainability Report in 2024.
