LAGO presents Animal Zero, the new XGlass finish with zero impact on the natural world.

Since the dawn of time nature has been drawing us in and inspiring us to create clothes, furniture and objects. With Animal Zero, LAGO is offering a new, sustainable and contemporary way of letting you fulfil your desire to add an exotic touch to your furniture with zero impact on the animal world. Snakeskin and crocodile skin are the new additions to the XGlass range, which can be used to customise all of LAGO’s products combining exotic traits with the clean lines of LAGO design. In doing so, one embraces the explosive sensuality and sensation typical of these animals, stepping into the deep landscape of contemporary furniture. “With Animal Zero we are giving a new creative thrust to our XGlass technology,” says Daniele Lago, CEO & Head of Design at LAGO S.p.A. “The concept behind this collection is an invitation to reflect. This is in perfect harmony with XGlass, which was created to reduce consumption of natural materials without giving up the individual features of each of them. When ideas sustain each other, stimulated by common goals, we can truly begin to imagine a more peaceful, sustainable and prosperous future.” With its XGlass technology, LAGO was the first company in the design world to present a concrete application that transfers images onto glass. The technique is used to reinterpret the essence of materials such as marble, wood, and metal, without using any natural resources. The use of XGlass is part of the company’s broader strategy aiming to reduce its environmental impact, taking advantage of the production line already in operation.
