Mezz aria, the new chair designed by Daniele Lago, is among the winners of the Archiproducts Design Awards 2025, the prize that celebrates the best expressions of contemporary design every year. The award confirms the extraordinary momentum of the LAGO 2025 collection, which marks an authentic return to the brand's signature style: lightness.
With a rear cantilever seat outlining its dynamic profile, Mezz'aria surprises with itssuspended elegance and feeling of lightness. The absence of rear supports and the sloping structure generate a novel visual effect, while the quilted upholstery ensures enveloping comfort.
The launch of the new collection was met with immediate enthusiasm: 1,800 pieces have already been sold in the first months since its debut, confirming the solidity of the path taken by the company. In this context, the Archiproducts Design Award further testifies to the consistency between vision, research and market.
Today Mezz'aria is available in the main LAGO shops, ready to bring its vision of lightness and innovation into domestic and collective spaces.
"At the last Salone, we returned to give shape to ideas fully in line with our innovative DNA. Mezz'aria, of all the products presented, synthesises this approach to design in a single gesture. We are delighted for the prestigious award received, and even more so for the many consumers who chose to buy it even before experiencing its comfort and solidity. With Mezz'Aria we wanted to give shape to this idea of suspension, of freedom, of balance between matter and dream. I believe that design should be able to lighten not only spaces, but also souls." - Daniele Lago, President & Head of Design LAGO.
