LAGO stand

At the Salone del Mobile 2026, LAGO presented an innovative trade fair stand, created by EFGROUP with the aim of combining aesthetics, functionality and real sustainability through a rigorous approach based on Life Cycle Assessment (LCA).

The LAGO stand thus represents a new standard forsustainable exhibition design, with measurable and replicable benefits. A responsible choice that demonstrates how design can be circular, flexible and of high communicative value.

A revolutionary model

The supporting structure is composed of modular recycled aluminium profiles (77.5%), combined with multilayer poplar panels and low-emission MDF (CARB P2) for the decorative elements. The sheets used are made of OEKO-TEX® Standard 100-certified technical polyester, designed for three-year use, while the platform is made of cork-effect PVC slats that are durable, reusable and easily removable.

Tangible results

Thanks to this approach, the environmental impact per event was amortised: the LCA estimate gives the stand an 8.921 tCO₂eq per exhibition, approximately 97.2% less than an equivalent stand built with traditional materials (chipboard, PVC, adhesives).

The initial emissions are 318.7 tCO₂e, but thanks to the planned reuse of the elements, the impact is drastically reduced to 8.921 tCO₂e, a saving of 97.2%. In addition to the low environmental impact, the project optimises logistics (reducing transport by up to 50%), significantly reduces waste and contributes to operational savings over the entire three-year cycle.
