In the elegant heart of Paris
Ophélie's flat with a view of the Ville Lumière
We are in the heart of Paris, where the Haussmanns overlook the tree-lined boulevards and Parisian light dances through arched windows. A privileged viewpoint over the city, where interior design becomes a dialogue between historical and contemporary heritage. The city of Paris is a masterpiece of proportions and harmony: a concentration of mouldings, stuccoes and heights that tell of centuries of elegance.
Ophélie has lived in Paris since she began her career in banking and was looking for a place where she could combine the precision of her work with the serenity of her private life. Her passion for contemporary art and classical French architecture allowed her to give her home a sophisticated touch, transforming it into a refuge where she could find balance.

What were you looking for when you started to imagine the interior of your house?
"I was looking for a delicate balance. The flat has that Parisian grandeur that I absolutely wanted to preserve - the stuccoes, the heights, the arched windows are part of the history of this city. At the same time, I wanted the furnishings to speak a contemporary, essential language, without frills. LAGO offered me this possibility: furniture that respects the monumental proportions of the spaces but with a formal lightness that makes it almost sculptural."

Is there a time of day that you particularly like to spend in this house?
"My favourite time is in the morning, when I sit at the table in front of the window with my coffee. The light of dawn over Paris is unique - soft, golden, promising. It is my ritual before getting into the rhythm of the day. The suspended table, made of wood and glass, overlooking the boulevards, is my privileged vantage point over the city."
Dining room furniture
The living room is often the place for conviviality. How do you experience it?
"The living room for me is a hybrid, flexible space. During the week it is my evening refuge: I love to indulge in the sofa with a book or simply admire the city lights going on. At the weekend it is transformed: it becomes the stage for dinners with friends, impromptu aperitifs, conversations that go on until late. I wanted an ambience that could accommodate both these dimensions without ever seeming too formal or casual."
Living room furnitureThe result is a flat where the timeless elegance of Paris meets the contemporaneity of Italian design: a light, bright and sophisticated environment, capable of enhancing every corner of the house and accompanying Ophélie's life between professional commitments and moments of pure beauty.
