design as a tool for social transformation

LAGO Fabbrica is a 13,000 m2 "non-factory" designed according to the principles of bioarchitecture, in which sustainability and people's well-being are at the center. The structure stands out for the transparency of its walls, which enhance natural light, and for a design inspired by Lean Production, capable of combining efficiency and customization. ISO45001 certified for environmental management, LAGO Fabbrica adopts innovative solutions such as the use of wood, geothermal systems and roofs that reduce thermal impact, making it a model of sustainable and responsible construction.

Sorter

The Sorter is a highly technological machine, a special machine specifically designed to automatically pick up 36e8 panels, which make up a large part of LAGO furniture. Its operation allows for a completely automatic organization of the storage and management of components, thus avoiding loads and efforts on the part of the staff. The Sorter is in fact able to automatically detect and check the dimensions and color of the panels arriving from production, first reporting any inconsistencies and imperfections and then moving and arranging them autonomously thanks to a special custom-made gripper. When an order arrives, the machine picks up the panels in total independence and in the correct sequence for assembly, moving them to the robot station needed for moving them to the assembly area.

Rover C

The Rover C, a robot pantograph for milling and drilling, has been introduced in the carpentry department. In this case too, the machine reduces human input in the component loading phase, and allows staff to dedicate more time to quality control, thus increasing production efficiency.

Water-based paint

LAGO uses solvent-free water-based paints to lacquer its products, avoiding the emission of harmful volatile organic substances into the environment.

Reduced formaldehyde

LAGO is committed to ensuring that all of its products meet stringent CARB standards for formaldehyde emissions, ensuring healthier and safer indoor environments for customers.

Geothermal energy

LAGO has adopted a geothermal system that uses groundwater at a constant temperature of about 13°C, reducing energy requirements for space heating and cooling.
